GOATS

Nigerian Dwarf goats are a small dual-purpose breed of goat, an average doe measuring around 17-20 inches tall and 40-60 lbs (males a little bigger). They are great as pets as well as excellent producers of milk high in butterfat. We often use the milk to make soaps and in cheesemaking, but it is delicious to drink fresh. The interesting thing is that Nigerian Dwarf does can be bred year round, so timing dry periods so that your family has milk all year is possible.  Each year we sell a handful of either registered or non-registered kids, who are usually born April-June.
